What is native advertising?
Native advertising is a form of paid advertising in which the ads match the look, feel and function of the media where they appear. Most often found on news websites within the content on the page. They blend in seamlessly on the page.
Native ads don't really look like ads — they don't disrupt the user's interaction with the page. They can either generate leads or actual sales for products and advertisers. We run campaigns across the three largest native advertising platforms — Taboola, Outbrain, and Revcontent — each with its own bidding mechanics and publisher network, and we manage accounts on all three so budget goes wherever it performs best.
Taboola alone serves over 450 billion content recommendations a month across tens of thousands of publisher sites— Taboola Resources
The Third Pillar
Search and social aren't the whole map
Most media plans lean entirely on search and social — Google and Meta are the obvious channels, so that's where budget flocks. The problem is everyone else is doing the same thing: as more brands, publishers, and creators compete for the same search and social inventory, costs climb and attention gets harder to hold.
Native advertising reaches people in a different moment entirely — the point right after they finish an article, video, or gallery, when they're actively looking for what to read next. That's not competing with search or social. It's a third channel most media plans are leaving on the table.

Our Services
Everything native advertising actually requires
Not a checklist — the full stack, from the first headline test to knowing exactly which dollar converted.
Creative & Advertorial Development
High-converting headlines, thumbnail testing, and advertorial landing pages built to read like content, not ads — because that's what actually earns the click.
Campaign Setup & Scaling
Full account management across Taboola, Outbrain, and Revcontent — whitelist strategy, bid management, and scaling budget toward what's already proven to work.
Attribution & Tracking Infrastructure
Voluum and Everflow implementation, S2S postback configuration, and reconciliation between platform-reported and actual conversion data — so you're optimizing on numbers you can trust.
Network Relationships
Direct account rep access at every major platform, built over years of consistent spend — the difference between waiting on a support ticket and getting a same-day answer.

This is what a native ad actually looks like — sitting inside the feed a reader already trusts, not interrupting it.

Same placement logic on a different publisher — the ad format adapts to the site, not the other way around.

Attribution
Every click, tracked back to a real result
Native platforms report their own numbers. Those numbers don't always match what actually happened downstream — a click can get logged on the platform side without ever completing the full journey to a real conversion. We've seen that gap run several times over between what a platform dashboard shows and what server-to-server tracking confirms actually happened.
That's why every campaign we run gets its own sub-ID tracking through Voluum or Everflow from day one, with server-to-server postbacks configured before the first dollar spends — not added later once something looks off. You see real cost per acquisition, not a platform's optimistic version of it.

Less ad fatigue: ad fatigue sets in when an audience gets visually trained to tune a format out — banner blindness is the textbook example with display ads. Native ads sit inside editorial content instead of standing apart from it, which is the core reason they don't trigger the same automatic tune-out.
The results above aren't projections — they're outcomes Taboola has published from real advertiser campaigns in finance and insurance, the same categories we run native campaigns in every day. See the full breakdown on ournative advertising examples page.
How We Work
Starting a native campaign, the right way
The same four-step process we run for every new campaign and every new client.
Set your goals
Every campaign starts as either branding or performance. Branding leans on video and upper-funnel content, tracked by completion rate and viewability. Performance leans on animated thumbnails and lower-funnel landing pages, tracked by CPA, CPC, and conversions.
Build the campaign
Collect the URLs you're promoting, then set basic campaign details — country, device, and audience filters. Title and thumbnail combinations matter more here than almost anywhere else in paid media; they're the entire first impression.
Tip: Keep titles under 40 characters. Colorful images featuring expressive people consistently outperform generic stock photography.
Set a real budget
Underfunding a test is the most common way to kill a good angle before it has a chance to prove itself. A generous starting CPC casts a wider net early, surfacing which audience segments actually convert before you optimize down.
Tip: Higher starting CPCs aren't wasted spend — they buy you the audience data you need to optimize toward what actually works.
Analyze and iterate
Once a campaign has enough data, compare it against your original KPI. Look for the publisher sites and audience segments driving results, then narrow in — by time of day, site, and device — instead of leaving spend spread evenly.
Tip: CTR tells you creative is working. If conversions are the real goal, a pixel installed from day one is what actually tells you whether it's working.

Questions
Native Advertising, Explained
What is native advertising?
Native advertising is paid advertising designed to match the look, feel, and function of the platform it appears on — most often inside the content feed of a news or publisher site. Unlike a banner ad, it doesn't interrupt the reading experience, which is why native ads consistently outperform display ads on attention and click-through.
What native advertising platforms does Click Thru Media work with?
We run campaigns primarily on Taboola, Outbrain, and Revcontent — the three largest native advertising platforms by publisher reach. Each platform has different bidding mechanics, whitelist strategies, and creative requirements, and we manage accounts across all three so we can put budget where it performs best for your vertical.
What are examples of native advertising?
Common native ad formats include in-feed content recommendations at the bottom of news articles, sponsored listicles, and advertorial landing pages designed to read like editorial content before leading into an offer. We build and test advertorial creative daily across insurance, e-commerce, Medicare, and financial verticals.
Does native advertising have to follow FTC guidelines?
Yes. The FTC requires that native ads be clearly and conspicuously disclosed as advertising, even when the format blends into surrounding content. Disclosure language, placement, and advertorial claims all fall under FTC scrutiny, and we build every campaign with compliance built in from the start.
How is native advertising different from display advertising?
Display ads are visually separated from content — banners, sidebars, pop-ups. Native ads are placed inside the content stream itself and styled to match it. That's the core reason native consistently sees higher attention and lower ad fatigue than traditional display.
How much does it cost to work with a native advertising agency?
It depends on ad spend and scope, not a flat retainer tier. We've managed accounts from early-stage test budgets up through $30MM+ in cumulative spend, and we structure pricing around what makes sense at your stage. Reach out and we'll walk through it.
